Thank you Diving Into Love!

1. I am so in love with my life!! I have the most amazing husband anyone could ask for and I love him more and more every day! I have a wild/crazy dog but I love her!! I have a baby girl on the way and cannot wait for her to be here!

2. I have the most amazing friends a girl could ask for! Not seeing my BEST friends all the time is hard but I know that when I need them they are there!

3. I love being a teacher!! I absolutely love children and getting to watch them grow in so many ways is a blessing!!

4. I'm obsessed with Kool-Aid right now!! I feel like such a kid...but it makes me smile when I am having a bad day!

5. My favortie movies to watch are Disney movies....mainly the classics, like: Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King. But I like the new ones too....Cars, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and cannot wait to see Toy Story 3! I am so excited to be able to watch these with Whitney one day!

6. I love to cook! Cooking is a way for me to get my mind off whatever is causing me stress at the time. I really like cookbooks and wish I had the time to cook all the new recipes I find!

7. I love my iPhone and texting! Between Kyle and me we send about 4,000 texts a month!! And I think that the iPhone was the best thing ever created!!! I love apps, too!!!

8. Massages and pedicures make me smile! They are the best way to relax! I could use both every day!

9. I want to live at the beach one day! To wake up at the beach every morning would be so amazing! Not to mention the sound of the waves and how relaxing it would be.

10. I am a cheerleader at heart! I cheered from elementary school thru high school and then I coached it for 3 years. I resigned as the coach this year and never thought that I would miss it...but I do! I don't miss the drama or time that it takes up but I miss so many things about it! I will always be a cheerleader at heart!

GIRL!!!!! We are so excited!!! I cannot express how happy I am that we are having a healthy baby girl!! Kyle is going to be an amazing dad and that little girl will have him wrapped around her finger!!!

Now to decide on a name....we have two that we are torn between: Lucy Kate or Whitney Reece

What a journey it has been....

The last few months have been amazing!!! I always heard that being pregnant was a great feeling and now I know what they mean!!! Since the morning sickness is gone, I have been wonderful! Cannot wait for the rest of this journey!


The weekend that school got out, Kyle and I went to the Braves game! It was so much fun! We don't get to spend a lot of time together during baseball season, so it was great to have a day in Atlanta together!

A friend of mine that I grew up with, Liz, got married June 5. The wedding was beautiful and I got to see all my friends from high school! It was great to see everyone and catch up!

Kyle's brother, Greg, has a lake house that is about 20 minutes from us. We go over there often and spend time at the lake! It is so calm, relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful! I wish we could wake up there every day!

Kyle and I have gone on vacation once this summer already! We went to St. Augustine, FL with Kyle's best friend Kevin and his wife Kelly and daughter Kylee (who was named after Kyle). We had such a great time! It was so nice to have a few relaxing days at the beach! Having a two and half year old there made it so much fun! She is so imaginative and independent! She had so much fun playing on the beach and in the pool with Kevin and Kyle! She is precious! It made me want our baby here so much faster! I thought I wanted a boy but after spending the weekend with that precious little girl.....I want a girl!! Here are a few pictures from the beach! The one of Kyle and me is one of our "Family Beach Pictures". I cannot wait to have our little family at the beach next year and take family beach pics with our baby! :)

The day we left the beach to come home was our 1st anniversary and Father's Day! I cannot believe that 1 year ago (June 20) I married the most amazing man I could have ever asked for! We go to the doctor tomorrow for my 20 week checkup and ultrasound! Hopefully Baby G will cooperate and we can tell if we are having a boy or girl!!! I don't care which one as long as he/she is healthy...just ready to know!!! I will let everyone know as soon as we get home from the doctor!!

Ok, I know it has been a while but we have had a lot going on in our lives for the past few months. Before I update everyone on all that has been going on I will share our news....WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so EXCITED!!!!! We have talked about having a baby since we got engaged! Children mean so much to us and we both wanted one soon and not there is one on the way!!! I am due November 6, 2010....it seems so far away but it is going by quickly!! It feels like we just found out and that was 8 weeks ago. I am 12 weeks and already through my first trimester!!! Keep us in your prayers and we begin this journey and that in November we welcome a healthy baby into the Gourley family!!!

So, back to what has been going on in our lives. Kyle is coaching baseball so practice or games every night of the week. Being a coach's wife is great though! I love every minute of it! Maybe it is just being a wife that I love! While he has been at practice or games, I have been sleeping! All I have done for the last 8 weeks is work, eat, sleep, and go to the bathroom. The nausea was terrible to begin with but it is better and I am starting to feel great! I still nap a lot but feel better which is good! That is pretty much all we have been doing lately. Baseball is almost over (thank goodness)! And now it is time to look at all the baby stuff we are gonna need to buy! Kyle is ordering our baby furniture tonight! We are so excited! Cannot wait until we find out what we are having!!! Kyle really wants a boy but either is fine with us!!!

Update....and SNOW

I know it has been a while since I updated....I apologize! Been busy here in Monticello! Loving spending some time with my husband....he is coaching baseball now but hasn't started playing games yet!

Anyway, as everyone knows...Valentine's weekend it snowed in GA!! Here are a few pictures I took:

This was such a great weekend and a much needed break! I will try to updat more often!

P.S. I had a wonderful time at the movies with Lyn, Mandi, Bixie, Dawn, and Laurie!!!

After such a wonderful weekend....it was hard to go back to work Monday! But the last few days have been pretty good! My birthday was yesterday and it was great! One student brought me flowers (wasn't that sweet) and Kyle took me to dinner! I'm glad I got to spend my birthday weekend and my actual birthday with people that care about me!

Now, onto other things....

I'm so happy for Mr. & Mrs. H and the fact that they just got a new house! I cannot wait to see it!

On the other hand, I am so stressed about so many things! I have a lot on my mind on top of everything at school! So much to do and so little time! I feel like I am so behind! Also, I need to find a place to get my master's online that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I know everything will work out....just gotta believe and keep praying! I'm putting it all in God's hands!

BIRTHDAY PRESENT

So, for the last two years, Kyle has surprised me the weekend before my birthday with a wonderful present!! Last year, he got my BEST friend Lauren and her baby Tripp to come spend the weekend with me!! It was great!! I hardly ever get to see her cause we are so busy and so are they!! She is the one person that I know I can always talk to and count on to be there for me when I need her!! We talk on the phone 3-4 times a week and you would think by the conversations we have that we see each other all the time!! Oh....I forgot to mention that Lauren lied to me and told me that she didn't know anything about my birthday surprise (since i had suspicions that she may have something to do with it)!!!

Well, again, this year he planned a surprise but said it was bigger than last year!! So, I racked my brain for a month to figure out what it was that he could possibly do that was bigger than last year's surprise!! Here it is:

Saturday: Kyle said I would know what the surprise is around 3 pm....of course I am an basket case trying to figure out what it was!! Well, a little before 3, someone knocked on our front door. It was.....LAUREN and JOHN!!! Again, she told me they were not coming, she had no idea what I was talking about this time. And here she was!! I'm never gonna be able to trust her!! Or my husband!!! While we were sitting in the living room talking, I see a car pull up in the driveway. I go to the door and LINDSAY ANN and ERIC are in the driveway!!! She also lied to me and said they were going to his parent's house! We were all just talking and hanging out and talking and then BRITTNEY and BILLY pull up! Remember, Brittney teaches in the classroom next door to me and has kept this all a secret for months!!!

My husband is AMAZING!!! He got the 3 most important people in my life (besides him) to come spend my brithday weekend with me!!! I had so much fun and love them all for coming to see me!!! It was a wonderful surprise and well worth the wait!!
